Develop a wide range of industrial layouts in the fields of new energy and new materials, create a "100 billion-level new material industry sector", promote the core core business of metal minerals to enter the high-end industrial chain and value chain, and help the healthy development of China's new energy automobile industry.
In accordance with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on the construction of a new industrialization base in the Bohai Rim, in September 2017, China Minmetals Corporation, MCC United Nations High-Tech, BYD, and Cao Development jointly invested more than 4 billion yuan to establish MCC Ramu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., to build the MCC new material project. The MCC New Materials Project is the main representative of China Minmetals to build a "100 billion-level new material industry sector", and realizes the industrial integration between the starting point and the end of the "Belt and Road" initiative. In 2018, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology comprehensively reviewed 453 projects that entered the "Made in China 2025" major project database. On this basis, 347 projects with advanced technology and strong guiding and demonstrative roles were selected for inclusion in the guiding plan. The new metallurgical materials project ranks among them, marking that the project has become a typical representative of the advanced technology and strong guiding and demonstrative role of Made in China 2025.
